7 G/A in 4 starts: Wilson made huge Rangers blunder on "groundbreaking" £6.3m gem - opinion

Rangers made a number of moves throughout the January transfer window as Ross Wilson provided Gio van Bronckhorst with new options to work with at Ibrox.

One area in which the Gers were in desperate need of reinforcements was the right-wing position as Scott Wright struggled in the first half of the campaign – leaving Ianis Hagi to carry the load out wide.

The Romania international then suffered a season-ending injury to place further emphasis on the need for a new signing, as it left van Bronckhorst with a meagre selection of options out wide.

Wilson reportedly pursued a “groundbreaking” deal to sign Andreas Skov Olsen from Bologna before eventually signing Amad Diallo on loan from Manchester United, with the former landing at Club Brugge on a permanent £6.3m deal.

Olsen, meanwhile, has three goals and four assists in five league matches for Brugge since his January switch, starting four of them. He has created 2.4 chances per game and three ‘big chances’
