27-stone MMA fighter gets floored by 18-year-old teenager in complete mismatch

This is the bizarre moment a 27-stone MMA fighter got floored by his 18-year-old teenage rival.

Russian blogger Alexey Belyaev stopped Vladislav Popov in the second round but the fight arguably should have been stopped well before that.

The incident took place during an Epic Fighting Championship event on Wednesday in Russia earlier this month.

EFC are known for their infamous mismatches resembling something of a circus act including inter-gender fights and two-on-one fights – with some even involving pensioners.

Belyaev, 27, weighed in at 175kg compared to his teenage opponent Popov, 18, who was just 57kg.

The bigger man also boasted a 20cm height advantage.

However, it quickly became clear that this was a complete and utter mismatch, as Popov began to swing wild punches at him.

Popov took over the contest as soon as it started, using his speed and athleticism against the much bigger Belyaev.

But Belyaev was able to use his considerable bulk to survive the early onslaught and eventually had Popov in a tight headlock before the unthinkable happened.

The submission attempt prompted one of Popov’s team to climb into the cage and try to separate the two fighters.

And as the trio were separated by the referee, Popov threw a sucker punch at Belyaev sending him crashing to the canvas.

Pandemonium briefly ensued as Belyaev was tended to by his corner before the fight shockingly resumed moments later.

After returning to his feet, Belyaev showed he was surprisingly nimble for a man of his size and quickly managed to secure a takedown on Popov.

And he ended the bout in the second round with some nasty ground and pound from top position as he rained down blows on his opponent.
