24-y/o starts: The predicted Plymouth Argyle XI to face Chelsea in the FA Cup

The Pilgrims head into the game off the back of winning 3-1 away at Doncaster Rovers in the league and will no doubt be full of a renewed level of confidence ahead of this highly anticipated cup clash.

Having already defeated higher league opposition in the form of Birmingham City in the previous round, Argyle may well fancy their chances of repeating the trick as they take on the reigning champions of Europe in the capital.

They take on a Chelsea side that got back to winning ways last time out in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur getting them back on track after their recent shortcomings again the likes of Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Here we take you through our predicted Plymouth Argyle starting eleven for their game away to Chelsea.

Michael Cooper will once again be between the sticks for Argyle as he seeks to record an unlikely clean sheet against the Blues.

Macaulay Gillesphey, Dan Scarr and James Wilson will once again form the base of the back five, whilst Joe Edwards and Conor Grant will act as the attacking wing backs.

Ryan Broom, Jordan Houghton and the returning Panutche Camara will form the midfield three, with the trio looking to provide equal support to both the attackers and the backline when required.

Up top Luke Jephcott should be partnered with Niall Ennis once again, with the duo sure to have to take any chances that fall their way on what will be a difficult afternoon for Argyle against a vastly superior opponent.
