21,000 Tickets Sold Ahead Of Mandalika MotoGP Race

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The West Nusa Tenggara secretary Lalu Gita Ariadi on Tuesday announced that 21,530 tickets were sold - up until February 20 - for the upcoming Mandalika MotoGP race on March 20. Track organizers and the government had capped race attendees to 60,000. 

“We continue to boost ticket sales and spectators’ mobilization from the total of 60,000,” said Ariadi on March 1. 

The local government plans to distribute 35,000 tickets to 10 sales clusters within the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) community. 

Meanwhile, the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry’s Tourism Products and Activities Deputy Rizki Handayani Mustafa also reported positive developments in the event’s preparations. 

"Currently, in all sectors, both immigration, for the entry of participants and spectators, the Public Works and Housing Ministry has prepared the transportation infrastructures. The Ministry of Health has ensured health protocols will be implemented well, transportation facilities will be prepared by the Ministry of Transportation. This is all towards the final stage," he said.

Rizki hopes that the Mandalika MotoGP can be beneficial for the entire community, especially the people of West Nusa Tenggara.
