2027 NBA championship odds: Spurs early favorites to win it all, followed by Thunder and Celtics - ESPN

The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Finals, but the runners-up are favored to win it all next season in early championship futures. San Antonio is the +250 favorite to win the 2027 NBA championship, followed closely by the Oklahoma City Thunder at +260. The Boston Celtics come in next at +650 before the Knicks crack the list at +700 to round out the teams with shorter than 10-1 odds.

Then there's the Miami Heat, whose title odds had shortened in recent weeks as they emerged alongside the Celtics as the favorites to land two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Heat finalized a trade for Antetokounmpo late Tuesday night and shot up oddsboards at sportsbooks around the nation.

Miami had been around 40-1 in recent weeks at DraftKings but had inched up to 30-1 as buzz built on their interest in acquiring Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks. After the deal was reported around midnight Tuesday, the Heat moved to 18-1 to win the NBA title, the fifth-best odds in the league. Miami is now 6-1 to win the Eastern Conference at DraftKings, behind only the Celtics (+225) and defending-champion New York Knicks (+300).

The next tier on the odds board features the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets at 25-1, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers at 30-1, the Indiana Pacers at 35-1 and the Cleveland Cavaliers rounding out the teams shorter than 50-1.

The Sacramento Kings have the longest odds to win next season's championship at 1,000-1.

Odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are accurate as of publication.
