2024 World Series odds -- Dodgers, Braves, Yankees - ESPN

The Texas Rangers capped a miraculous postseason run (they didn't lose a game on the road!) to win the 2023 World Series. But it's the Los Angeles Dodgers who now enter as the favorites to take the title in 2024 after shelling out $1 billion worth of contracts to Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto..

The Dodgers improved from +550 after the Ohtani deal to +450 at ESPN BET, with the Atlanta Braves having the next-shortest odds at +700. The New York Yankees are 9-1, and the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies and the Rangers are tied at 10-1 to round out the top six. The reigning NL champion Arizona Diamondbacks are 30-1 to win next year's World Series.

The Yankees had made the first big splash of the offseason when they acquired Juan Soto, shortening their odds from 15-1 to 17-2 at the time, behind only the Braves and Dodgers, while the San Diego Padres saw their odds plummet from 16-1 to 30-1 after the trade. The Toronto Blue Jays have fallen to 15-1 after failing to land Ohtani, Soto or Yamamoto despite reported pursuit of all three.
