2024 Emmanuel Egbele scrabble tourney gets date

Organisers of the 2024 Emmanuel Egbele Scrabble Tournament (EEAST) have announced the beginning of registration of players for the event billed to hold in Lagos next month.

According to the organisers, over 100 top players are expected to participate in this year’s championship, which is on record as the first tournament to go paperless as the process of score submission and collation are transmitted electronically in line with the green campaign.

Entries for this year’s competition have been categorised into Lite level, for players from zero to 1299 and Premier level, for those with ratings of 1300 and above.
