1.3 million viewers watch Euro 2024 final on RTÉ
Sunday's Euro 2024 final attracted a record-breaking viewership on RTÉ, with in excess of 1.3 million tuning into game on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player.
An audience of 918,000 - a 55% share - watched Spain's 2-1 victory over England on RTÉ2, with an additional 428,000 live streaming the match on RTÉ Player.
The final was the most watched of the game on the tournament on RTÉ, with the quarter-final meeting of Portugal and France taking second spot with a total viewership of 1.02m across both platforms.
England games filled the third and fourth most watched spots, with their quarter-final against Switzerland in third (average audience of 849,300), while their last-16 victory over Slovakia (avg. 759,700) in fourth.
Euro 2024 saw an enormous increase in those watching on the RTÉ Player, with a total of 7.7 million streams across the tournament, compared to 2.5 million for Euro 2020.
