Watch: Zimbabwe Players' Wild Post-Match Celebrations After Historic Win vs Australia

Zimbabwe stunned a nearly full-strength Australia in the third and final ODI in Townsville on Saturday. After putting Australia in to bat, Zimbabwe made the most of the conditions to bowl Australia out for the first time in ODIs. This was also Zimbabwe's first win over Australia Down Under. The win boosted their chances to climb the ODI Super League ladder, which goes towards qualification for next year's 50-over World Cup in India. After the match, wild celebrations broke inside the Zimbabwe team bus.

India Complete Series Sweep Against Zimbabwe As Sikandar Raza's Ton Goes In Vain

Sikandar Raza's lion-hearted effort took Zimbabwe on the cusp of a famous victory before India held their nerves to pull off a 13-run win in the third ODI and complete a series sweep in Harare on Monday. The final game of the series too was heading India's way until Raza (115 off 95 balls) brought Zimbabwe back into the contest with the support of Brad Evans (28 off 36). The duo shared a 104-run stand off 77 balls for the eighth wicket to raise hopes of a memorable result against their mighty opponents. However, Raza fell to a brilliant catch by Shubman Gill in the penultimate over, as India scraped through.

Deepak Hooda Proves To Be India's Lucky Charm, Sets Unique World Record

As India beat Zimbabwe by 5 wickets in the 2nd ODI in Harare on Saturday, all-rounder Deepak Hooda notched an impressive, and rather unique, world record. Since his international debut, India have won every match that he has played in, across formats. Hooda has now been part of 16 successive wins for India, which is the longest 'unbeaten' streak for any player after debut. India have won seven ODIs and nine T20Is with Hooda in the team since he played his first international match in February this year.

"I'm Sure We'll Give India A Tough Time": Zimbabwe Star Innocent Kaia To NDTV

Zimbabwe could not have hoped to have gone into the ODI series against India in higher spirits, having beaten Bangladesh in both the T20I series and the ODI series that followed. Before Bangladesh visited, Zimbabwe also sealed qualification for the 2022 T20 World Cup by beating Netherlands in the final of the Qualifiers. Opening batter Innocent Kaia spoke to NDTV and said that the team is high on confidence and that India won't have it easy in the three-match contest.

India vs Zimbabwe, 1st ODI: When And Where To Watch Live Telecast, Live Streaming

Skipper KL Rahul's form and fitness will be observed keenly when India take on Zimbabwe in a three-match series, starting Thursday, in 50-over format, which is fast losing popularity and struggling to retain its identity. Supposed to be one of the most vital cogs in India's T20 World Cup top-order, Rahul would like to make full use of the game time he gets as an opener during the three games against Regis Chakabva's side. Rahul's immediate task at hand after a two-month lay-off, during which he underwent a sports hernia surgery, is to keep his opening slot in T20 cricket and adapt to the team's philosophy of going hell for leather from ball one. It won't just be about runs that skipper Rohit Sharma or coach Rahul Dravid would be looking at when they monitor Rahul's performance in Zimbabwe. Rather they would like to check out his approach and the manner in which he is scoring runs, something he would need to tweak before that first Asia Cup game against Pakistan on August 28.

Sikandar Raza Out For Golden Duck As Zimbabwe Lose ODI To Bangladesh

Sikandar Raza's golden run ended with a golden duck as his Zimbabwe side lost by 105 runs to Bangladesh on Wednesday in the third one-day international in Harare.  An unbeaten 85 by Afif Hossain lifted Bangladesh to 256-9 in 50 overs when put in to bat and Mustafizur Rahman then took 4-17 as Zimbabwe were all out for just 151 in 32.2 overs. Pakistan-born Raza batted brilliantly in guiding Zimbabwe to a winning 2-0 lead in the three-game series last weekend, hitting unbeaten knocks of 135 and 117 in superb run chases for two five-wicket victories.  But the 36-year-old, whose childhood dream to be a fighter pilot in the Pakistan Air Force was dashed by an eyesight glitch, finally met his match in ODI debutant Ebadot Hossain.
