The Indian cricket team was denied the opportunity to take full points from the two-match Test series against West Indies after the second game ended in a draw due to a complete washout on Monday. As a result, India was able to get 16 points from the possible 24 which took their PCT (percentage of points won) to 66.67 percent. As a result, they are currently second in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table behind Pakistan who have 100 percent after winning their first Test against Sri Lanka. On the other hand, West Indies are currently fifth in the points table after getting 4 points for the draw which took their PCT to 16.67 percent.

West Indies Recall Rajasthan Royals Star For ODI Series Against India

Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Monday recalled star batter Shimron Hetmyer for their upcoming three-match ODI series against India at home, starting Thursday at Kensington Oval. Hetmyer hasn't featured for the West Indies side in almost a year but earns a recall on the back of a solid season in the Indian Premier League with the Rajasthan Royals that netted a total of 299 runs from 13 innings. The left-hander hasn't played an ODI for the Caribbean side in two years, with Hetmyer's last appearance in a 50-over match coming against Australia in July 2021.

Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan switched on his beast mode and showed his batting prowess on Sunday during the second Test between India and West Indies. Ishan, who is just two-match old in the longest format, took only 34 balls to reach his maiden Test half-century. His fiery fifty helped Team India reach a huge total as they declared their innings at 181/2, setting a 365-run target for hosts. During the match, Ishan smashed a one-handed six which reminded the fans of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.
