While Nethra was placed 19th after Race 4, she dropped to 25th after Race 5 before regaining some composure and finishing a spot above after Race 6. As for the men's dinghy event, Vishnu Saravanan was placed 23rd after Race 6 on Saturday.

Former India cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad, who has served the game in different capacities after his retirement as a player, died on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer. He was 71.
The cricketing fraternity in India is in mourning following the death of former cricketer and head coach Anshuman Gaekwad on Wednesday night, and captain Rohit Sharma paid his tribute to him, adding that it was his good fortune to have a few conversations with him. Gaekwad played 40 Tests and 15 ODIs for India from 1975 to 1987, and went on to be a selector, as well as be the side's head coach from October 1997 to September 1999. He then returned as coach for India in 2000 Champions Trophy on BCCI's request, where they lost to New Zealand in the final.
The BCCI, senior national team head coach Gautam Gambhir, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Anshuman Gaekwad as a thorough "gentleman" after he passed away following a prolonged battle with cancer. Gaekwad, who served Indian cricket as a player, coach and selector, succumbed to blood cancer on Saturday night. He donned the Indian jersey in 40 Tests and 15 ODIs. Member of the 1983 World Cup-winning side and current BCCI chief Roger Binny, also a one-time teammate of Gaekwad, said the cricketing community will miss his contribution.

The BCCI gave Rs 1 crore for Gaekwad's treatment and members of the 1983 World Cup-winning team also did their bit to help the cricketer.
