Ravindra Jadeja Hailed As Great All-Rounder After Test-Winning Exploits

Ravindra Jadeja was hailed Monday as one of the world's best all-rounders after his swashbuckling unbeaten 175 with the bat and nine-wicket haul with the ball propelled India to a first Test victory over Sri Lanka inside three days. The left-hander's match-defining knock in Mohali, his best in Tests, and figures of 5-41 and 4-46 with his left-arm spin saw Sri Lanka crushed by an innings and 222 runs on Sunday.

Watch: Shaheen Afridi's Classic Celebration After Dismissing Marnus Labuschagne On 90 In 1st Test

Pakistan cricket's star player Shaheen Afridi rattled Australia when his captain needed it the most, proving once again the brilliant purple patch the fast bowler is currently going through. Although the start of Day 4 was delayed due to rain which resulted in the loss of the first session entirely, the match began post lunch. Australia batters Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne made their way to the middle with Australia on 271/2, continuing from where they left off at stumps on Day 3. Although, the Pakistan bowlers looked quite penetrative with the old ball, skipper Babar Azam pounced on the very first opportunity of taking the new ball after the 80th over, handing it to Afridi.

South African cricketers face test of loyalty ahead of IPL: Dean Elgar

Dean Elgar has urged his teammates to choose national duty in a series against Bangladesh over the upcoming Indian Premier Leageu (IPL) as it is a test of loyalty for them and they must prioritise their country. South Africa are set to play three one-dayers and two Tests against Bangladesh starting March 18, while the IPL is scheduled to be held from March 26 to May 29. The ODIs will be held on March 18, 20 and 23, followed by two Tests starting on March 31 and ending on April 12. According to 'ESPNcricinfo', Cricket South Africa has left it on the players to decide between the lucrative league and turning up for the country in the Bangladesh series. "The players need to give Cricket South Africa an indication of if they are keen to go to the IPL or if they are keen to play for the Test side. It's a bit of a tough one putting that in the players' box but this I guess, this is where you see where players' loyalty lies," Elgar said. "They mustn't forget that Test cricket or one-day cricket got them into the IPL and not the other way around."
