The two-day event, an FIH's effort to promote the game among masses in a shorter version similar to T20 in cricket, Rugby7s and 3x3 basketball, will look to create a new genre for the game and increase its appeal among the fans. The Indian men's team will play their opening match against hosts Switzerland followed by game against Pakistan on the same day. The Indians will then face Malaysia and Poland respectively on Sunday. Indian team's skipper for the event, Gurinder Singh, said they can't wait to take the field on Saturday. "It's a great atmosphere out here. We also had good training sessions and we are fully prepared for the tournament. "We will be up against some quality teams and since the format is new, it will be a challenging task for us. It is fast-paced and we will need to adapt to the situations as quickly as possible," he said.

England vs New Zealand, 1st Test, Day 2 Live Score Updates: England will resume Day 2 of the ongoing first Test against New Zealand with the hopes of showing some resistance with the bat and taking lead to put the visitors on backfoot. Currently, Ben Foakes and Stuart Broad are present at the crease for the hosts. On Day 1, England had bundled out New Zealand for 132 with James Anderson and Matthew Potts taking two wickets each. England then showed some resistance with the bat and they were 92/2 in the 29th over. However, England lost five wickets in a jiffy and the side were reduced to 100/7. (LIVE SCORECARD)
Ben Stokes' reign as England Test skipper got off to a blistering start as their pacers bulldozed the New Zealand batting line-up on Day 1 of the ongoing first Test at Lord's. James Anderson and Stuart Broad were recalled to the side after missing the Test series in West Indies earlier this year. The veteran pairing did not disappoint as Anderson got the ball rolling at the 'Mecca of cricket' with the wickets of Kiwi openers Will Young and Tom Latham, respectively.
Moeen Ali has revealed “the door is open” to an England Test comeback after new head coach Brendon McCullum offered him the chance to reverse his retirement.
England pace bowler Matthew Potts said he had a "bit of a tear" in his eye after picking up four wickets on his Test debut against New Zealand at Lord's on Thursday. Potts, 23, dismissed New Zealand captain Kane Williamson for two to claim his first Test victim before removing Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blundell and Ajaz Patel as England bundled out New Zealand for 132 on the opening day of the first Test. The Durham paceman has been the outstanding bowler in the county championship this year, with 35 wickets at 18.57 each.
England debutant Matthew Potts took four wickets against New Zealand only for the hosts to collapse as well on the opening day of the first Test at Lord's on Thursday. The World Test champions were dismissed for 132 before England, in the first of this three-match series, slumped to 116-7 by stumps. Pre-match, there had been talk of England making a fresh start under new Test captain Ben Stokes and recently-appointed red-ball coach Brendon McCullum, the former New Zealand skipper. But this was a reminder there are no quick solutions to the fundamental batting weakness that has contributed to England winning just one of their previous 17 matches at this level, a run that has left them bottom of the World Test Championship table. Potts took a superb four wickets for 13 runs in 9.2 overs, a reward for a challenging line and length, with recalled England pace great James Anderson returning figures of four for 66 in 16.
