Felix Auger-Aliassime Beats Tommy Paul In Marathon Clash To Reach Adelaide Final

Felix Auger-Aliassime needed four match points and nearly three hours to beat Tommy Paul 7-6 (7/3), 3-6, 6-4 and reach the Adelaide International final on Friday. On the eve of the Australian Open, it was a 16th final for the Canadian and puts him one win from a sixth title. He will face second seed Sebastian Korda, who defeated Serb Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 7-6 (7/4). Paul's loss prevented the American from breaking into the top 10 for the first time in his career. The semi-final with Auger-Aliassime was marred by more than 90 unforced errors, with the Canadian failing to close out a straight-sets win when top seed Paul won six of the last seven games in the second set.

Jannik Sinner Doping Hearing At Sports Court Fixed For April

World number one Jannik Sinner will have his hearing into allegations of doping at the Court of Arbitration for Sport on April 16-17, the Lausanne-based body said on Friday. The World Anti-Doping Agency appealed after the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) cleared Sinner after he tested positive twice for the banned steroid clostebol in March last year. "No parties requested a public hearing and it will be conducted behind closed doors," CAS said in a statement. The ITIA accepted defending Australian Open champion Sinner's explanation that the drug entered his system when his physio used a spray containing it to treat a cut, then provided massage and sports therapy to the player.

Yuki Bhambri-Albano Olivetti Team Exits ASB Classic With Semifinal Defeat

India's Yuki Bhambri and his French partner Albano Olivetti frittered away a solid start to make a semifinal exit from the ASB Classic in Auckland on Friday. The unseeded Indo-French combine had the momentum but the top seeded pair of Nikola Mektic and Michael Venus bounced back strongly to win 3-6 6-1 5-10 in the last-four pairs match of the ATP 250 event. Bhambri and Olivetti took 90 points each and spilt USD 10150 for their effort in the hard court tournament. Nick Kyrgios 'Vows' To Shake Up Tennis As He Eyes Australian Open Comeback

Nick Kyrgios, who is set to make his long-awaited return to Melbourne Park for the first time in three years, after undergoing knee and wrist surgeries over the past year, admits that his return has been an emotional rollercoaster. After nearly a year away from competitive tennis, Kyrgios's return has been anything but straightforward. His comeback began at the Brisbane International, where he played two doubles matches with Novak Djokovic and narrowly lost a singles encounter to rising star Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. However, lingering wrist pain and a minor abdominal injury have raised concerns about his readiness for Melbourne Park.
