BEIJING (AP) — Mikaela Shiffrin completed the super-G at the Beijing Olympics on Friday in a time way out of medal contention — but for the first time in three races at the 2022 Games, she made it to the finish.
Mikaela Shiffrin is taking the positives from her ninth-placed finish in the women’s super-G at the Beijing Olympic Games. There were doubts as to whether Shiffrin would be at the starting gate after two DNFs in the slalom and giant slalom. Ad/> She finished 0.79 seconds behind winner Lara Gut-Behrami, but the American felt she started to line up on her skis again and is looking forward to the remainder of the Games with a positive mindset.
