Robert Whittaker has been left scratching his head after losing a tight, unanimous points decision in a UFC middleweight title rematch three years in the making to Israel Adesanya.
It was a night to remember in Houston at UFC 271 as Israel Adesanya showed his class against former champion Robert Whittaker to retain his middleweight title.
Israel Adesanya said that he proved he is “the best in the world” at middleweight with his victory in the rematch against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271 on Sunday morning.

After being dominated by Israel Adesanya in their 2019 meeting, Robert Whittaker entered UFC 271 on Saturday night knowing he had a very difficult puzzle to solve if he wanted to regain the middleweight championship.
