Emma Raducanu beat Yanina Wickmayer in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals of the Korean Open in Seoul. Sixth seed Raducanu won 6-3 7-5 after reeling off three games in a row to win the first set and was on course to take a relatively easy victory after breaking early in the second. Ad But Wickmayer fought back before Raducanu steadied to get over the line.
Raducanu, who crashed out of the US Open in the first round last month, overcame a sluggish start and a late wobble to win 6-3, 7-5 in Seoul. The 19-year-old Briton, the sixth seed, will face third seed Magda Linette of Poland next.
World number one Carlos Alcaraz sealed Spain's berth in the Davis Cup quarter-finals on Sunday by beating South Korea's Kwon Soon-woo in straight sets.
