Cosmopolitan asked the cast of how they would write their characters’ dating profiles, said that her character, “She wants someone who likes rocks, not diamonds. She’d love a historian or a geologist!” Sounds like a rocky romance (I had to).At first, Ella panicked, “I’ve never been on a dating app, so I don’t know what—can anyone help me,” and looked to both of her co-stars and Laurie Davidson. Laurie offered, “Your preferences!” Then Laurie took it a step further, “Your kinks.” Ella powered on, “She’s seeking companionship over romance.” When asked if Mary needs someone who can read, she says literacy is important, but she didn’t want to exclude the non-reader prospects, and said Mary would love to teach.
