In a recent match between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United, a hilarious incident was captured which left the audience in splits. Islamabad defeated the Gladiators by 63 runs in their previous match. Opting to bat first, Islamabad posted a whopping total of 220/6 in 20 overs. Later, the Gladiators were bundled out for 157, with Hasan Ali taking a three-wicket haul.

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal has finally opened up about his on-field spat with Ishant Sharma during an India-Pakistan match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in December 2012. Akmal claimed that it was Ishant who initially started abusing him and, as a result, he got it back. He then went on to reveal that it was Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni who came in to settle the matter. As quoted by cricket pundit Farid Khan, Akmal said: "Ishant Sharma did hurl abuse, he got all the abuses back too (Ishant ne gaali diya par baad mein usko bhi bohot pada). MS Dhoni was really nice and Suresh Raina came and settled it down. India were losing and it happened in the heat of the moment. Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez played very well, so he was furious."

Azam Khan was the talk of the Pakistan Super League on Friday night. The Islamabad United wicketkeeper-batter hit a 42-ball 97, laced with eight sixes and nine fours, against Quetta Gladiators. Courtesy Azam's knock Islamabad United reached 220/6 in 20 overs. In reply, Quetta Gladiators were all out for 157 in 19.1 overs. Notably, Azam's brutal hitting came against a side which is coached by his father and former Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan. There was a point in his innings, when Azam gestured towards his father Moin after completing his half-century. Moin could be seen clapping with a straight-face.

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has lashed out at Shoaib Akhtar, following his comments on star batter Babar Azam. During a recent appearance on a local news channel, Akhtar had criticised Babar's communications, saying that the Pakistan captain can't speak English properly. The 47-year-old faced a lot of flak for his comments on Babar, as well as former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal. Raja labelled Akhtar a "delusional superstar", adding that it is more important to become a human first than a brand.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is on and it has already been witness to some scintillating action. On Friday, the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Quetta Gladiators faced the Shadab Khan-captained Islamabad United. Incidentally, while Quetta Gladiators is coached by former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Moin Khan, his son Azam Khan is a batting mainstay of Islamabad United. Ultimately, it was Azam's brutal 42-ball 97 that helped his team beat his father's side. The 24-year-old Azam hit eight sixes and nine fours against Quetta.
