NSSF, LASUBEB stage National School Board Games
In a bid to unearth talents from the grassroots and encourage mass participation in school sports, the Nigeria School Sport Federation (NSSF), and the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) are organising a National School Board Games, which will hold on February 10 and 11 in Lagos.

Haryana's Suruchi won the gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol shooting competition with a remarkable score of 245.7 at the National Games in Dehradun on Wednesday. Palak, also from Haryana, secured the silver medal with 243.6, while Simranpreet Kaur Brar from Punjab took home the bronze with a score of 218.8 as the Trishool Shooting Range saw some intense competition on the day. The men's 50m rifle 3 positions event saw 33 participants from various states competing for a spot in the final round of eight shooters.

Saanvi Yogesh Deshwal from Maharashtra secured the silver at 1:16.37, while Jyoti Bajirao Patil, also from Maharashtra, earned the bronze with a time of 1:17.36, as per a press release from 38th National Games.

15-Year-Old Shooter Beats Paris Olympics Medalist Sarabjot Singh, Wins Gold In National Games 10m Air Pistol
Fifteen-year-old Bengaluru shooter Jonathan Antony delivered a grand performance on the biggest domestic stage when he outwitted Paris Olympics bronze-medallist Sarabjot Singh and the more fancied Saurabh Chaudhary to clinch the 10m air pistol gold at the National Games here on Monday. Jonathan, whose shooting career took wings when he won gold in the CBSE South Zone Rifle Shooting Competition in 2022 while studying in eighth standard, shot a superb 240.7 for Karnataka in the final to overcame the challenge of Services veterans Ravinder Singh (silver, 240.3) and Gurpreet Singh (bronze, 220.1) and Sarabjot, who won a bronze in the Paris Olympics' 10m air pistol mixed team event with Manu Bhaker last year.
