Jan Tratnik is undergoing tests in hospital after he was involved in a training accident, his Team Jumbo-Visma have announced just one day before the Giro d'Italia starts. The team added no further details to the statement that was released on Twitter.

Jonas Vingegaard has signed a three-year contract extension with Team Jumbo-Visma. The 2022 Tour de France winner will stay with the team until 2027 after joining in 2019.
