Big Blow For PBKS: Glenn Maxwell Fractures Finger, 'Likely' Out Of IPL 2025

Punjab Kings' Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is "likely" out of the Indian Premier League's remaining matches after fracturing his finger. Maxwell suffered the injury before PBKS' rained out previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders in which he was dismissed for 7 continuing an underwhelming season. He was replaced by Suryansh Shedge in last night's clash against Chennai Super Kings that PBKS won by four wickets. "Unfortunately, Maxi's broken his finger. He broke it just before the last game at training. He didn't think it was too bad, but it ended up getting pretty bad. He had scans and yeah, the results weren't great. So unfortunately for Maxi, I think it's likely he's out for the tournament," Maxwell's compatriot and PBKS teammate Marcus Stoinis told 'Jiostar'.

Karun Nair Handed Brutal Verdict On IPL 2025 Form: "Haven't Made Most Of 2nd Chance..."

Former cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra believes Karun Nair hasn't "made the most of the second chance that cricket has given him" following his sub-par performance during Delhi Capitals' 14-run defeat against the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. "Dear cricket, give me one more chance," Karun's tweet on December 10, 2022, became a reality during the pulsating clash between the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. In Delhi's pursuit of a daunting 206-run target, Karun lit the Arun Jaitley Stadium with his sizzling 89 from 40 deliveries, leaving the spectators mesmerised and former cricketers in awe of his prolific batting form.

Chennai Super Kings Star Takes Stunning Boundary Line Catch, Sends Fans Into Frenzy - Watch

Chennai Super Kings' star player Dewald Brevis showed great athleticism to take a superb catch on the boundary line during his side's IPL 2025 match vs Punjab Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Wednesday. PBKS batter Shashank Singh smashed a Ravindra Jadeja delivery towards deep mid-wicket. Brevis was the fielder stationed there. He timed his jump to perfection and grabbed the ball. However, he quickly realised that he was to step outside the boundary ropes and thus released the ball in the air before going on the other side. The ball would have fallen at the other end so Brevis jumped again from outside the ropes and thew the ball in the air again, this time inside the field. He then came inside the boundary line and finally took the catch.
