The BCCI on Sunday unveiled the new T20 jersey for the Indian men and women's cricket teams. The unveiling comes a month ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia next month and two days before India's T20I series against Australia. "To every cricket fan out there, this one's for you. Presenting the all new T20 Jersey - One Blue Jersey," the BCCI tweeted.

After a rather demoralising defeat in the first game on damp and wet conditions, India bounced back in style to secure a morale-boosting victory and take the series to the decider to be played in Bristol on Thursday. "I'm really happy, we played well. Everyone was looking forward to winning today, that's something I'm happy about. We do have plans for all batters, but it was important that we executed them, the fielders supported the bowlers well," Harmanpreet said after the match on Tuesday night.
Opener Smriti Mandhana's 79* and captain Harmanpreet Kaur's unbeaten 29 helped India beat England by eight wickets in the second T20I of the three-match series at County Cricket Ground, Derby on Wednesday. Smriti's glorious unbeaten knock ensured that India avoided any hiccups to chase down a sub-par total set by the hosts England. She was ably accompanied by the Indian captain right till the end to help India get their first win of the series, enabling the visitors to tie the series 1-1.
India seamer Renuka Singh has jumped five places to be 13th among bowlers while spinner Deepti Sharma continued to hold on to her seventh place in the latest ICC women's T20I ranking released on Tuesday. Renuka, who bowled an economical spell, giving away just 23 runs in four overs in India's nine-wicket loss to England in the first T20I in Chester-le-Street last week, has 612 rating points. Deepti continued to remain the only Indian bowler in the top 10 while also remaining static on fourth in the all-rounders' list.
After an underwhelming performance in the series opener against England, the Indian women's cricket team will be eyeing a much improved batting effort in the second T20 in Derby on Tuesday. The first game at Chester-Le-Street saw the Indian batters coming a cropper against the English bowlers. "We discussed a few things after the first game. We obviously didn't play the brand of cricket we played over the last few months. We really need to match the standards of what we have achieved in the past. It was a bit disappointing but it was just another bad day," said opener Smriti Mandhana in pre-match press conference.
