Indian batters Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur have jumped one spot up in the latest update of the Women's Player Rankings on Tuesday. Mandhana has climbed to fourth position with 708 points while the Indian captain Harmanpreet has improved her position to sixth with 694 points. England's star batter Nat Sciver-Brunt is the leading ODI batter in the latest updated rankings. Sciver-Brunt scored a record-breaking century in their third ICC Women's Championship ODI victory over Sri Lanka, reaching three figures in just 66 balls, the best for an England women's player. She finished with 120 from just 74 balls, hitting 18 fours and a six in the knock.

India's women cricket team have left for China on Saturday night to start their first-ever stint in the Asian Games which will start from September 23 in Hangzhou. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) shared the picture of the team on their X (formerly Twitter) handle. "The Girls of Indian Cricket are ready to rock at #AsianGames2022 In an exclusive ceremony tonight, the team received an enthusiastic send off from @SAI_Bengaluru. Can't wait to watch all of them make proud! You go GIRLS! We are here to #Cheer4India," SAI Media wrote.

Asian Games: Akash Deep Replaces Shivam Mavi In Men's Cricket Team, Pooja Vastrakar Comes In Women's Side

The Men's Selection Committee named Akash Deep as replacement for Shivam Mavi in the Indian squad for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. Mavi is suffering from a back injury and is ruled out of the tournament. The men's cricket competition will take place from 28th September to 8th October in a T20 format.
