Yashasvi Jaiswal scripted his name in the record books of cricket with a magnificent double hundred against England in the third Test of the five-match series. This was Jaiswal's second double ton as he also breached the 200-run mark in the second Test as well. In the third match, he remained unbeaten at 214 off 236 balls and helped India set a target of 557 against England. The hosts then went on to bundle out the Ben Stokes and co for 122 and register a victory by 434 runs.

Ahead of the India vs England fourth Test, starting in Ranchi on Friday, Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the squad, the BCCI said in a media release late on Tueday. "The decision was taken keeping in mind the duration of the series and amount of cricket he has played in recent times," the BCCI statement added. Meanwhile, KL Rahul is ruled out of the fourth Test. "His participation in the final Test match in Dharamsala is subject to fitness," the BCCI said.

Currently, the hosts lead the five-match series 2-1 with still two matches to go in the series. The fourth Test will commence on February 23 at JSCA International Stadium Complex followed by the fifth and final Test of the series to be played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
