New Face In BCCI Selection Panel, Ex-Teammate Of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid

The BCCI on Tuesday appointed former India wicket-keeper Ajay Ratra as a selector of the men's cricket team, replacing Salil Ankola in the five-man panel. As per convention, all five selectors represent different zones and Ratra will represent North Zone in the committee headed by Ajit Agarkar. After Agarkar was appointed chief selector last year, the selection panel ended up having two selectors from West Zone with Ankola already part of the committee.

"I used to be good with (handling) trolling. I did not care, but I feel I was much younger back then. And then, a couple of years back, I was exposed to a lot of trolling. If I sat, I got trolled, if I stood, I got trolled," Rahul said on entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath's YouTube Channel.

Team India T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is set to miss the first round of the 2024-25 season of the Duleep Trophy after suffering an injury during last week's pre-season fixture for Mumbai at the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament in Coimbatore. In the match against TNCA XI last week, Suryakumar did not bat in the second innings due to a hand injury sustained during the third day while fielding. The right-hand batter has been advised to take a rest and he is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in order to recover from his injury.
