The development comes as a big relief to the players as the company of family members was totally denied after the board issued a 10-point diktat, changing certain rules after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy debacle.

Just days before the start of the ICC Champions Trophy, Team India's bowling coach Morne Morkel had to fly back home from Dubai due to the death of his father. Morkel reached Dubai with the other members of the Indian team on February 15 and was part of many training sessions in the Middle Eastern region. But, the South African wasn't a part of the team's practice session on Monday. It was later reported that the former Proteas fast bowler was preparing to return home due to the unforeseen development.

The official Instagram handle of the Indian Cricket Team unveiled the headshots of Indian stars Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, skipper Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami among others, looking battle-ready in their official ICC Champions Trophy jerseys. India's ICC Champions Trophy campaign will kick off with a match against Bangladesh at Dubai on February 20, followed by matches against arch-rivals Pakistan (February 23) and New Zealand (March 2). As per the hybrid model, India will play all its matches in Dubai instead of Pakistan.
