SINGAPORE: As the 2022 FIFA World Cup action heats up in Qatar, football fans will have a new option to catch the final matches of the tournament thanks to a partnership between Mediacorp and Singapore Expo.

This week saw the conclusion of the tournament’s group stage followed by the beginning of the knockout games, as the pressure began to build on teams with high expectations back home. DOHA: Qatar received just over 765,000 visitors during the first two weeks of the World Cup, according to an organisers' report obtained by Reuters, falling short of the country's expectations for an influx of 1.2 million during the month-long event.
