El F1-75 quedó atrapado en la grava, otra vez, exactamente como sucedió en Melbourne a las primeras de cambio. Aunque con una diferencia importante: esta vez Sainz no tuvo ninguna culpa y el incidente no es achacable al español. La FIA no sancionó a Ricciardo porque lo consideró incidente de carrera.
