Santiago Urrutia fought off Rob Huff to win the partially reversed-grid Race 2 at WTCR Race of Hungary as the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup completed an action-packed weekend at the Hungaroring. Cyan Performance Lynk & Co’s Urrutia started from pole position, held off Huff’s Zengő Motorsport Cupra Leon Competición at the start, then survived a safety car restart to win.
FIA technical delegate Jo bauer 'stomped' down the pits to speak to AlpaTauri as they tape uo Yuki Tsunoda's wing, according to Karun Chandhok. The Sky Sports pit reporter claimed Bauer was walking towards Alpha Taurio just as Tsunoda left the pits with thick grey tape covering his DRS flap.

Dániel Nagy says he has no worries that his CUPRA Leon Competición will be fixed in time for the two races that make up WTCR Race of Hungary tomorrow. Pool Furious delivered two contrasting Semi Finals in Budapest, with Romeo Ferraris’ Bruno Spengler and CUPRA EKS’ Tom Blomqvist securing top stops in their respective battles. The first Semi Final quickly became a duel between Spengler and Hyundai Motorsport N’s Jean Karl Vernay, with both drivers trading places throughout, while CUPRA EKS’ Adrian Tambay suffered a mapping issue at the start which delayed him significantly.
