Carlos Sainz Jr. resmi diperpanjang kontraknya oleh Ferrari. Ia diberi masa bakti yang sama dengan rekan setimnya, Charles Leclerc.
Carlos Sainz has extended his contract with Ferrari by two years until the end of 2024, the Italian Formula One team announced on Thursday ahead of the fourth Grand Prix of the season in Imola. The 27-year-old Spaniard started at Ferrari in 2021 after two seasons with McLaren. "I have always said that there is no better Formula 1 team to race for and after over a year with them, I can confirm that putting on this race suit and representing this team is unique and incomparable," Sainz said.
Charles Leclerc is in for a momentous weekend if Ferrari's early season form holds firm in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix with the team's tifosi ready to turn Imola into a sea of red. Ferrari fans could well have double cause for celebration with Sunday's race accompanied by the first of this year's three beefed-up sprints. The winner of Saturday's 100km dash around the bumpy old school circuit will earn eight points compared to only three in last year's trials.
Carlos Sainz will race with Ferrari until 2024 at least with him signing a two-year contract with the Scuderia.
Former Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi has told Vegas Insider that he does not think Ferrari are going to prioritise one driver over the other just yet.
Imola has always been one of my favourite tracks – and favourite places.
Guenther Steiner has said that he is not bothered by claims from some teams that the Haas car is too similar to the Ferrari this season.
On Monday night, Charles Leclerc was robbed of a Richard Mille watch worth $320 000 in Italy.
