The country's largest horse racing event will soon be underway as thousands of racegoers attend Aintree for the first time since lockdown restrictions have been lifted. The race will be broadcasted live on ITV1 at 5.15pm on Saturday, April 9 while the Aintree gates at the Grand National will open around 10.30am - the race is generally watched by over 500 million people each year.

India win bid to host Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships next year
Fencing Association of India (FAI) said on Sunday. The championships, which will witness the participation of approximately 1200 fencers from 20 to 25 countries, will take place in March or April, 2023. The Fencing Association of India made a successful bid to host the tournament during the Annual General Body Meeting of Fencing Confederation of Asia at Hamdan Sports Complex here on Sunday. "I am glad to announce that India has been declared as the host nation for the Asian Cadet and Junior Fencing Championship 2023 at the Fencing Confederation of Asia General Assembly 2022, held At Hamdan Sports Complex, Dubai on 3rd April 2023. Ahmedabad will be the host city," Rajeev Mehta, FAI secretary general, said in a tweet.
