The PGA Tour is tabling its plans to stage a global series of three events that would have included its top players competing for purses worth as much as $25 million, sources confirmed to ESPN on Wednesday.

In a bid to combat the threat of LIV Golf, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan unveiled changes for the 2023 season — which included added prize pots and a commitment by the top players to compete in 20 tournaments (12 Elevated Events, four majors, the Players Championship and three events of their choosing). Ad Rahm was not fully aware of the need to play in 20 events, and said it would put a particular strain on European players who want to support the DP World Tour — and those who have designs on playing in the Ryder Cup as there is a requirement to play four events in Europe.

Disney Star has won the TV and digital rights for all International Cricket Council (ICC) events from 2024 to 2027, the sport's governing body confirmed on Saturday. "The International Cricket Council today confirmed Disney Star will be the home of all ICC cricket in India for the next four years having won the TV and digital rights to both men's and women's global events through to the end of 2027," the ICC said in a statement. The ICC said Disney Star won the rights in a single round sealed bid process "which has yielded a significant uplift to the rights fee from the previous cycle continuing the impressive growth and reach of cricket".
