Don Bradman's 93-year-old Batting Record Broken, England Star Achieves Major Feat

English batter Ben Duckett surpassed Sir Don Bradman's record of scoring the fastest 150 runs at Lords on Friday against Ireland. Even though Duckett (182) fell 18 runs short of scoring a double hundred at the end of the day, still his knock was enough to surpass Bradman's long-standing record. While shattering the 93-year-old record, the left-handed batter also registered another milestone in his name as he became the first batter since 1924 to score 100 runs before lunch in a Lord's Test. Duckett took 150 balls to complete 150 runs, 16 balls less that the legendary Sir Donald Bradman, who took 166 balls to reach the milestone against England in 1930.

'David Warner Is Looking Good For WTC Final, Ashes', Says Usman Khawaja

Australian batting stalwart Usman Khawaja believes fellow opener David Warner is probably at his best as he prepares for the tough English summer, which includes the World Test Championship final against India and the Ashes. Warner, 36, had endured a difficult tour of India earlier this year, and even though the Delhi Capitals skipper showed attacking intent while amassing 516 runs from 14 matches in the IPL, he will have his task cut out in the seaming English conditions. However, Warner, likely on his final tour of England, received a big endorsement from Khawaja, who said the stalwart was "looking good" for the challenges ahead.

Ollie Pope Makes History, Breaks 41-Year-Old Record With Maiden Double Ton

Ollie Pope made a double century after Ben Duckett compiled the fastest 150 in a Test at Lord's as England ran riot against an outclassed Ireland in their Ashes warm-up on Friday. Pope's 205 and Duckett's 182 were the cornerstones of England's imposing 524-4 declared on the second day of four, a lead of 331 runs. The pair shared a second-wicket stand of 252 after coming together at 109-1 after Zak Crawley's exit for 56. Both Duckett and Pope scored a hundred runs in a session on Friday, left-hander Duckett achieving the feat in the morning's play and Pope matching him between lunch and tea.

On His Role In CSK's IPL Triumph, Ben Stokes' Hilarious Response

England team captain Ben Stokes believes that he played the 'John Terry role' in his IPL team CSK's victory this season. Stoke referred to Chelsea Legend 'John Terry' who famously lifted the Champions League trophy in 2012 dressed in his Chelsea kit despite missing the final against Bayern Munich through suspension. Stokes during press commitments at Lord's discussed his role in his team's victory in IPL. He said, "I played a little bit of a John Terry role winning the IPL" Stokes joined the CSK franchise for INR 16.25 crore but played only two matches due to a toe injury. "Felt Disrespected": David Warner Slams Cricket Australia Over Captaincy Ban Saga

Veteran batter David Warner has slammed Cricket Australia (CA) for attempting to revoke his lifetime captaincy ban last year. In 2018, Warner, alongwith Steve Smith, was banned for two years, having played his part in a ball-tampering scandal. CA had also imposed a leadership ban on him. However, after CA reworded its code of conduct which initially stated players could not review a sanction once they had accepted it, Warner submitted an appeal to have his ban overturned in November last year.

Ben Duckett's dashing unbeaten fifty took England to within sight of a first-innings lead over Ireland on the opening day of their Ashes warm-up Test at Lord's on Thursday. England were 152-1 in reply to Ireland's 172 all out, a deficit of 30 runs, at stumps in a Test being played over four days rather than the standard five. England Team Bus Held Up By 'Just Stop Oil' Protesters Ahead Of Lord's Test vs Ireland

England team bus was held up by protesters while on its way to the Lord's for the opening day of the one-off Test against Ireland, wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow shared on social media on Thursday. The protesters under the aegis of 'Just Stop Oil' demanded that the British government should "halt all licences and consents for new oil, gas and coal projects". Sharing this in his Instagram story, Bairstow wrote: "If we're a bit late it's not our fault", even as several 'Just Stop Oil' protesters and security personnel can be seen surrounding the bus in the middle of the road.
