Jurel hit 90 runs off 149 balls to bail India out of trouble after the hosts were reduced to 177/7. Jurel added 77 runs, alongside Kuldeep Yadav for the 8th wicket, helping India cross the 300-run mark. However, he missed out on his century by 10 runs as India were eventually bowled out for 307.

Currently, the hosts lead the five-match series 2-1 with still two matches to go in the series. The fourth Test will commence on February 23 at JSCA International Stadium Complex followed by the fifth and final Test of the series to be played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Jurel posted a picture on his social media account, X with the caption: "Let's go". In the picture, the cricketer was seen sitting in the airplane along with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rajat Patidar.

India on Sunday registered their biggest-ever Test win by runs, thrashing England by 434 runs in the third game of a five-match series in Rajkot. Chasing a target of 557, England were bowled out for 122 as Ravindra Jadeja bagged his 13th five-wicket haul. Debutant wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel sparked England's collapse with a brilliant run out of opener Ben Duckett.
