Delhi Capitals on Saturday unveiled their new official jersey for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, beginning March 26. According to a statement issued by the franchise, the first few jerseys were given to select Delhi Capitals fans at the team's home ground -- the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Additionally, select children from the city, the DC Cubs, were given official jerseys too, as part of a surprise activity curated specially for them.

Former India pacer Ajit Agarkar is set to join Delhi Capitals as assistant coach ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League season. Agarkar will join the franchise after completing his commentary duties in the home series against Sri Lanka starting February 24. The IPL is expected to begin in the last week of March. "He will be joining Delhi Capitals as assistant coach," an IPL source confirmed to PTI.

Raj Bawa was bought by the Punjab Kings (PBKS) for Rs 2 crore while Hangargekar was roped in by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Rs 1.5 crore. Meanwhile, Yash Dhull was sold to Delhi Capitals for Rs 50 lakh. However, the likes of Harnoor Singh and Vicky Ostwal did not find buyers at the ongoing auction.

India all-rounder Shardul Thakur on Saturday was acquired by Delhi Capitals for Rs 10.75 crores in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction. For Shardul, a bidding war took place between DC and Punjab Kings (PBKS), where the all-rounder went to Delhi in the end. DC also bought Bangladesh Pacer Mustafizur Rahman for Rs 2 crores. Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar got sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 4.2 crores after a bidding war between SRH, Lucknow Super Giants, and Mumbai Indians.

Former South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris on Saturday said that Australia batter David Warner was a 'great buy' for Delhi Capitals (DC) in Indian Premier League (IPL), 2022 mega auction, as there is no doubt about his cricketing ability. DC picked David Warner for Rs 6.25 crore during the mega auction in Bengaluru on Saturday. "Absolutely, I think they will complement each other beautifully well. Yeah, look, I think Dave (David Warner) playing under Ricky and with his leadership and his guidance, I think you got a caged animal. I think Dave absolutely would like to prove a lot of naysayers wrong in the IPL. There is no doubt about his cricketing ability but with what happened off the field at the SRH, I think he'd look to do well for his new franchise," said Morris on Star Sports show, Cricket Live- IPL Auction Special.
