IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians' Murugan Ashwin Believes Spinners "Can Do A Lot" On Mumbai Pitch

Spinner Murugan Ashwin, who made a brilliant debut for Mumbai Indians (MI) by picking 2 wickets, said that wrist spinners like him and Delhi Capitals' Kuldeep Yadav could be a force to reckon with on the Mumbai pitch. Kuldeep registered figures of 3/18, and Murugan Ashwin felt they both did the same thing on the pitch. "Both me and Kuldeep had a good game, wrist spinners, with our variations, we can do a lot off the wicket. Both of us hit the right lengths, bowled the right speeds, it's a good wicket to bat and the lines were important, we had to be precise to put the batters on the backfoot and force them to do something," said Murugan Ashwin in a post-match conference.

IPL 2022: Kuldeep Yadav Got A Sense Of Security At Delhi Capitals, Says Axar Patel

Delhi Capitals (DC) all-rounder Axar Patel on Sunday said the franchise gave Kuldeep Yadav a sense of security that brought the best out of the Indian wrist-spinner against Mumbai Indians (MI). In DC's campaign opener, Kuldeep picked three wickets and conceded just 18 runs in four overs against MI. "He was adjudged man of the match for playing a key role in Delhi Capitals' victory. It's all about mindset. He was struggling in the IPL as his place in the KKR team was not secure. He was not sure that he would play all his matches," said Axar Patel in the post-match press conference, when asked about Kuldeep's performance.

Watch: Tim Seifert's 'Superman' Catch To Dismiss Kieron Pollard In Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians IPL 2022 Match

Tim Seifert was in fantastic form during Delhi Capitals' (DC) win against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 2 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Sunday. Other than his crucial 21-run knock during the chase, the New Zealand cricketer took a fantastic catch to send Kieron Pollard back to the pavilion during MI's innings. During the fifth delivery of the 16th over, Pollard received a delivery from Kuldeep Yadav, on middle. The all-rounder pulled it flat, but Seifert was standing inside the ring at mid-wicket. The Kiwi dived to his left instinctively and caught the ball with much aplomb.
