Chennai Super Kings (CSK) face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 49 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Wednesday. Chennai are currently ninth in the IPL 2022 Points Table with six points from nine fixture, including three wins and six defeats. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway and Mukesh Choudhary were the star performers as CSK dominated SRH in Pune. Gaikwad narrowly missed out on a century, smacking 99 runs off 57 balls. Meanwhile, Conway hammered an unbeaten knock of 85 runs off 55 deliveries as CSK posted 202 for two in 20 overs, setting a target of 203 runs. IPL 2022: MS Dhoni Set To Follow In Virat Kohli's Footsteps In Massive T20 Batting Record As Captain

MS Dhoni yet again took the mantle of leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after Ravindra Jadeja decided to step away from the leadership duties in the ongoing India Premier League (IPL) 2022. Jadeja's stint as skipper didn't yield the desired results as CSK succumbed to successive losses which put them in the bottom half of the IPL 2022 Points Table. Now that Dhoni is again at the helm, CSK can be expected to be at the lethal best, something which was on show in the impressive 13-run win vs SRH in their last match.

England vs New Zealand: Kane Williamson To Lead New Zealand In England Test Series

New Zealand named a fit-again Kane Williamson as captain of their enlarged squad for the Test series in England, where he will hope the triumphs of a year earlier can be repeated. An elbow injury sidelined captain Williamson from both of his country's recent home series draws against Bangladesh and South Africa. The world class batsman has not played for New Zealand since November but returned to the crease last week for his Indian Premier League side, Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on a resurgent Chennai Super Kings at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Wednesday as they look to bring an end to their three-match losing spree and keep alive their hopes of a spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs. RCB had won five of their first seven matches in the season, but have since suffered back-to-back defeats against SunRisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans. The Faf du Plessis-led team are currently fifth on the IPL 2022 points table, with 10 points from as many matches. The last time they faced CSK, they suffered a 23-run defeat thanks to a massive partnership between Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa. RCB will be looking to turn their campaign around as they face CSK for the second time this season, this time under the leadership of MS Dhoni, after Ravindra Jadeja stepped down as captain midway through the season.

New Zealand expect steely England under new skipper Ben Stokes

New Zealand expect Ben Stokes's leadership to galvanise England but they intend to make life as difficult as they can for the new skipper in the upcoming Test series, head coach Gary Stead said. New Zealand-born Stokes replaced Joe Root as Test captain last week, with England seeking a swift turnaround under the talismanic all-rounder after managing only one win in their last 17 matches. The combative 30-year-old's first assignment will be to turn the tables on New Zealand in the three-Test series starting at Lord's on June 2, a year after England lost 1-0 to the 'Black Caps' while Stokes was taking a break from cricket. "Look, I imagine that he will bring - there will be an immediate steel to their group," Stead told reporters on Wednesday.

Why Gujarat Titans Star Shubman Gill Got Angry At Punjab Kings Bowler After Run Out

Shubman Gill fell early in Gujarat Titans' defeat against Punjab Kings at the DY Patil Stadium on Tuesday as he was run out courtesy a brilliant direct hit by Rishi Dhawan. However, he reacted in anger at the bowler, Sandeep Sharma, after he bumped into the pacer while trying to take a quick single. He was seen having a word with Sharma as well as he walked off after being dismissed for 9 runs. Gill hit the ball to cover and took off for a quick single, but Dhawan's accurate throw meant he was caught well short of the crease, especially after the collision slowed him down.
