If India chased down the target, it will be the highest-ever successful chase in the history of Test cricket. The highest successful run chase by India happened in 1976 when the team chased down a 403-run target against West Indies.

Australia had to battle hard to get 78 runs in 26 overs from the morning session with Alex Carey going strong at 41 off 61 balls. Mitchel Starc was unbeaten on 11 at the other end.
