India will be squaring off against South Africa in the third and final ODI of the three-match series on Thursday in Paarl. South Africa registered an eight-wicket win in the second ODI as the series is now levelled at 1-1. Young Sai Sudarshan has been a big asset for India as he smashed half-centuries in the first two matches. Among the bowlers, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan and others will look to deliver a great performance as India aim to clinch the three-match series.
India and South Africa will be squaring off against each other in the third and final ODI match on Thursday in Paarl. The three-match series is currently levelled at 1-1 and both the teams will be putting their best foot forward, in order to claim the series. However, the KL Rahul-led side will aim for a better outing in the third match, in order to claim the three-match series. Young opener Sai Sudarshan, who made his international in the first ODI, is in sublime form as he smashed half-centuries in both the matches.
Pakistan's former Test and ODI captain Azhar Ali has applied for the post of Director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore, according to sources. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited applications for the post of Director NCA and a reliable source confirmed that Azhar had not only applied but also shown keen interest in taking up the job. “The PCB is also happy that Azhar has shown interest because of his cricket and educational background,” the source said.
Pakistan suffered a setback Thursday with pace bowler Khurram Shahzad ruled out of their series against Australia after pulling up sore following a heavy defeat in the first Test. The 24-year-old impressed on his debut in Perth, finishing with match figures of 5-128, removing Steve Smith twice. But he complained of discomfort and scans showed a stress fracture in the ribs along with an abdominal muscle tear.
Former India captain Rahul Dravid's son Samit dazzled for Karnataka in their Cooch Behar Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Wednesday. The 18-year-old played an exceptional knock of 98, taking Karnataka to a win by an innings and 130 runs. Apart from his exploits with the bat, Samit, who is also an handy bowler, picked up three wickets in the match against J&K.
