Watch: Ravichandran Ashwin's Reaction Is Viral After Horrible Run-Out Involving Ravindra Jadeja

Ravichandran Ashwin was left disappointed during Day 2 of the first Test match between India and England on Friday after a horrible mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja led to his dismissal. During the 91st over of the Indian innings, Ashwin played a shot off Joe Root towards cover and went for a quick single. Jadeja initially responded to his call but turned back when the fielder quickly reached the ball and threw it to the wicket-keeper. It was too late for Ashwin and he ended up running to the other side with both batters now on the non-striker end. England wicket-keeper Ben Foakes calmly collected the throw from Tom Hartley and finished the run-out. Ashwin stared at Jadeja after the dismissal and then walked back disappointed with the video of the whole incident going viral on social media.

T20 League Contract Terminated Due To 'Match Fixing'? Shoaib Malik Reacts

Former Pakistan cricket team skipper Shoaib Malik took to social media to refute the rumours surrounding the decision to part ways with Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) side Fortune Barishal. Media reports claimed that Malik was under the scanner for 'match fixing' after bowling three no-balls in a single over during the match against Khulna Tigers and that led to his contract termination. However, in a post on X (formerly called Twitter), Malik said that his departure from the franchise was pre-decided and it had nothing to do with the 'match fixing' rumours that he called 'false'.

India vs England, 1st Test: Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul Shine On Day 2 As Hosts Push England To Corner

Ravindra Jadeja's two-layered fifty and KL Rahul's mastery were at the heart of India's 421 for seven, a total which placed them several miles ahead of England after the second day's play of the first Test in Hyderabad on Friday. Jadeja (81 batting) and Axar Patel (35 batting), who added 63 runs for the unbroken eighth-wicket stand, are at the crease at stumps. India's lead has now swelled to 175 runs, and England would find it tough to wipe that out once their turn to bat come on third day.
