The International Cricket Council on Tuesday announced equal prize money for men and women in World Cups, starting with the women's T20 showpiece in the UAE next month. The winners of the Women's T20 World Cup will be rewarded with USD 2.34 million, a 134 per cent increase on the USD 1 million awarded to Australian women when they clinched the title in South Africa in 2023, said the ICC in a statement. "Ravi Bhai Arranged Karaoke": R Ashwin Recalls Scenes In India Dressing Room After 36-All Out vs Australia

Veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin revealed the atmosphere in the Indian dressing room following their dreadful 36-all out in the first Test against Australia at Adelaide back in 2020. In one of the dark chapters of their cricketing history, Team India was skittled for their lowest ever total in the longest format during the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 at Adelaide. This came after they enjoyed a 53 run lead over the hosts in the first innings. This set Australia a target of 90 runs, which they chased down easily to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.

India's Likely XI vs Bangladesh: No Third Pacer, Three Spinners Are R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja And...

As India prepares to face Bangladesh in the first Test of their upcoming series, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has recommended a bold strategy for the Indian team. Raina suggested that India should deploy a spin-dominant attack with three spinners and two fast bowlers for the match, which begins on Thursday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Raina's strategy is driven by the nature of the Chennai pitch, which he expects to favor spinners due to its black soil composition. He proposed selecting Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav as the spin trio, alongside fast bowlers Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah.

Pakistan Coach Backs Australia Quartet To "Do The Job" In Border-Gavaskar Trophy vs India

Pakistan Test head coach Jason Gillespie has backed Australia to beat India in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, citing the strength of their bowling quartet -- Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon. India enter this year's series riding high on their dominance in recent Border-Gavaskar contests, having won the last four series encounters, including two historic series wins on Australian soil in 2018-19 and 2020-21. Australia have not won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series since 2014-15, when they won 2-0 on home soil.
