Sri Lanka announced four new coaching staff on Sunday to assist new head coach Chris Silverwood ahead of next month's two-match Test series in Bangladesh. Former Sri Lankan Test player Naveed Nawaz was named assistant coach for a two-year period, Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement. Nawaz had been the head coach of the Bangladesh junior team that won the Under-19 World Cup in 2020.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis gave credit to Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed and his bowlers for their 16-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL here on Saturday. Karthik hammered 66 not out while Shahbaz contributed an unbeaten 32 and shared a 97-run partnership for the sixth wicket after Glenn Maxwell had set the platform with an attacking 55 as RCB posted 189/5 in 20 overs. Their bowlers, led by Josh Hazlewood (3/28) and Mohammed Siraj (2/31), then restricted Delhi Capitals to 173/7 in 20 overs to seal their fourth win in six matches so far this season.
World Bridge Championships this time in Italy. The Indian senior team of Subrata Saha, Sukamal Das, Ashok Goel, R.Krishnan, Anil Padhye and Rajesh Dalal bagged the silver medal for the country in the World Bridge Championships which was held from March 28 to April 9 at Salsomaggiore, Italy. Pant himself blasted a 17-ball 34 but in the end Delhi's chase lost steam and they ended at 173/7 in 20 overs.
