Australia's dominant ODI series triumph over Ireland has seen a host of their stars rewarded on the latest ICC Women's Player Rankings. The reigning ICC Women's Cricket World Cup champions showed they remain one of the best one-day sides in the world as they cruised to a 2-0 series victory over Ireland in Dublin and it was star all-rounder Ash Gardner that once again led the way. Gardner was the joint leading wicket-taker during the series with four scalps and managed a score of 65 from her only innings and it meant the 26-year-old reached new career-high ratings in all three rankings categories.

Cricket Australia (CA) on Friday pulled out Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry from the Women's Hundred at short notice after both players got injured during Tuesday's second ODI against Ireland. Healy suffered a fracture to her left index finger during the second ODI according to a release from CA. She had been playing for Australia in their overseas tour of England and Ireland in spite of suffering from multiple injuries.

India's Harleen Deol and Jemimah Rodrigues made substantial gains in the ICC women's player rankings for batters released on Tuesday, following their impressive performances in the recently-concluded series against Bangladesh. India and Bangladesh shared the honours after the third and final ODI of the series ended in a tie in controversial circumstances. The Player of the Match in final ODI, Deol advanced 32 places to reach 51st position while Rodrigues, who scored a match-winning 86 in the second ODI, is up by 41 places to reach 55th.

Harmanpreet Kaur Back In Top-10 Of ICC Women's T20I Batting Rankings

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has regained her place in the top 10 of the latest ICC women's T20I batting rankings following her stellar show in the opening T20I of the three-match series against Bangladesh. Kaur's match-winning 54 not out off 35 balls while chasing 115 has lifted her four places to 10th position. Tahlia McGrath still leads the way with 784 rating points, closely followed by teammate Beth Mooney (777). Smriti Mandhana (728), Sophie Devine (683) and Bates (677) complete the top five.

England Women Inflict Rare T20 Series Defeat On Australia

England beat Australia by five wickets to win the best-of-three Twenty20 series against the world champions 2-1 on Saturday and keep the women's Ashes alive. Australia still lead the multi-format series by six points to four, but England inflicted their first T20 series defeat since 2017. "We talked about trying to win the series and the way we performed tonight was brilliant," said England captain Heather Knight.

Defeat at Trent Bridge gives England a mountain to climb if they are to reclaim the Ashes. In the biggest moment of a dramatic day, Perry overturned an lbw verdict off Lauren Filer's first ball at international level. Perry, who had scored only 10 at the time, went on to reach her fifth 50-plus score in 10 Tests against England.
