The India pacer was keen for the decision to be reviewed but wicket-keeper batter KS Bharat rushed to skipper Rohit Sharma and hinted that the ball could be going down the leg side. During the 91st over of the Indian innings, Ashwin played a shot off Joe Root towards cover and went for a quick single. Jadeja initially responded to his call but turned back when the fielder quickly reached the ball and threw it to the wicket-keeper. It was too late for Ashwin and he ended up running to the other side with both batters now on the non-striker end. England wicket-keeper Ben Foakes calmly collected the throw from Tom Hartley and finished the run-out. Ashwin stared at Jadeja after the dismissal and then walked back disappointed with the video of the whole incident going viral on social media.
