Juventus continued their slow creep into the Serie A title race on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Spezia which moved them to within five points of leaders Inter Milan. Alvaro Morata scored for the first time since mid-January with 20 minutes on the clock at the Allianz Stadium in Turin to keep Juve on the heels of champions Inter, who hammered Salernitana 5-0 on Friday.

Denis Zakaria has been ruled out of action for around three weeks with a thigh problem, Juventus said on Monday as their injury list continues to grow. In a statement Juve said that Zakaria's "expected recovery time is approximately 20 days" after injuring a tendon in his left thigh.

Weston McKennie will be out for around two months after suffering fractures to his left foot, Juventus announced on Wednesday, after the American international was forced off during his team's 1-1 Champions League draw at Villarreal.
