Daria Kasatkina beat fellow Russian Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 7-6(5) at the French Open on Wednesday to reach her first ever Grand Slam semi-final. Kudermetova, playing in front of a scarce crowd, peppered the vast Philippe Chatrier stands with the ball and ultimately paid the price for a scrappy performance with 50 unforced errors - double that of Kasatkina. "You could see that the match was a really nervous one and tight, especially the tie break," said Kasatkina, who missed four consecutive match points before finally sealing the win.

Daria Kasatkina beat Veronika Kudermetova 6-4 7-5(5) to reach a Grand Slam semi-final for the first time in her career. The former world No. 10 Kasatkina has yet to drop a set in Paris yet this year, and will face the winner of Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula at the semi-final stage.

Day 11 of the French Open sees world No. 1 Iga Swiatek face Jessica Pegula while Holger Rune takes on Casper Ruud in the evening session at Roland-Garros. Swiatek dropped her first set of the tournament in the previous round against Qinwen Zheng but remains the heavy favourite to win her second Grand Slam title in Paris.
Veronika Kudermetova reached her first Grand Slam quarter-final at the French Open on Monday, setting up an all-Russian clash against Daria Kasatkina. The world number 29 came back from a set down to defeat Madison Keys of the United States 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.
