A video was shared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on social media that compared some of the most prominent international stars in the game currently with their U19 days. The video featured the likes of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Joe Root, Babar Azam, Steve Smith and Ben Stokes as they were put against their younger self in the U19 World Cup playing similar kind of shots. ICC shared the video on their official Instagram handle with a caption that read:

The 2022 IPL auction, this time, will be held over a 2-day period on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru and a total of 590 players will be going under the hammer. And one of the keenly fought battles at the auction table will be for the foreign players. 220 short-listed overseas talents will be up for grabs. These foreign players have been picked from 14 countries which also include associate nations like Namibia, Nepal and the USA.
Australia Test skipper Pat Cummins on Thursday said that it is not up to the players to decide whether Justin Langer should continue as the head coach or not, and it is a decision of Cricket Australia. Langer's contract is set to expire later this year, and speculations are rife whether he will continue on as the coach even after winning the T20 World Cup and Ashes.
Top Indian players, including senior opener Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer, along with overseas stars such as Pat Cummins and Kagiso Rabada have been bracketed in the Rs 2 crore highest base price category for the upcoming IPL auction. The mega auction is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13 and will see 590 players go under the hammer. The IPL announced the final auction list on Tuesday, which was pruned from the original list of 1,214 players released last month, after the franchises reverted with the players they are interested in.
BCCI released the full list of players set to go under the hammer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction scheduled to take place on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. All the 10 IPL franchises - Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Team Ahmedabad will look to build a solid team with some of the biggest national and international stars of the game. Out of the 590 players, 370 Indian players and 220 overseas players will up for auction. 33 players were retained by the 10 IPL franchises.
