YANQING, China : Italy's Sofia Goggia, the reigning Olympic downhill champion, will skip the super-G scheduled for Friday but is set to compete in the downhill race at the Beijing Winter Olympics, a spokesman for the Italian team said on Thursday.
Sofia Goggia won't take part in the Beijing 2022 super G scheduled on Friday 11 February.
The super G is the first speed event in the women's alpine skiing programme at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
