Raine Group has set a deadline of April 11 for the four bidders to submit their final offers to purchase Chelsea. Chelsea were put up for sale by Roman Abramovich, with the Blues owner currently under sanctions by the UK government.
A takeover of Chelsea appears to have taken a huge step towards completion with preferred bidders having reportedly been set a deadline to table any final offers. The deadline for any expressions of interest in the west London club has long since passed, with a number of contenders having emerged as interested parties.
The remaining four bidders for Chelsea FC have been told they must commit to a minimum of £1 billion ($1.31bn) future investment in the club if they are to succeed in taking it over from the Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
The remaining bidders interested in buying Chelsea, including three confirmed by Sky Sports, have been told they must commit £1bn to support the club infrastructure.
